Canoepolo.Shop was originally started as KanopoloShop and was founded in 2011 by Ralf Veltman. Ralf is a former Dutch U21 national team player and has 10+ years experience playing in the Dutch 1st Division. Ralf noticed a lack of focus on canoe polo products at the conventional retailers and manufacturers. A second thing Ralf noticed was a lack of a proper online store for kayak and thus canoepolo products. One and one became two and KanopoloShop.nl was founded. Using his personal polo experience Ralf strived to provide the best possible advice and thus support customers in deciding for the best possible purchase!
In 2013 Bart van Es -player for U.R.K.V. Michiel de Ruyter and the Dutch junior and senior Mens teams- joined KanopoloShop. Bart shared the customer focus and believe in good advice. Furthermore, Bart brought an interesting view on the future with a clear vision of a good web-store. After a brief period of continuation of the business, Bart decided to revolutionise the store. The product catalogue was improved to only contain products that Ralf and Bart both felt worthy. Only products with a distinct advantage such as price, quality or performance were deemed good enough. This selection was later extended with products that carried significant user preferences. In 2018 KanopoloShop.nl was changed to Canoepolo.Shop in support of the growing European interest. The domain change came hand in hand with an all-new website with improved user experience and increased easy of use.
